ABOUT YOUR MAT
OLIE mats are made from PU and natural rubber.
Unlike other producers, we do not treat our yoga mats with any nasty chemicals. It's as kind as possible to your skin.
The surface layer is made from premium PU material, which is designed to absorb sweat to ensure you don't slip or slide during your downward dog or push ups.
The mat is able to maintain it's grip whether it is dry or sweaty.
The material is also breathable, making it easy to clean your mat. But you must always make sure it dries properly after each use.
The bottom layers of the mat are made from natural rubber.
Our OLIE Mats aim to balance the environmental responsibility we have, whilst being functional.
Therefore the materials used are vegan and the mats are fully recyclable.
Yes you can.
Your OLIE mat is built to last, however, just like all good things in this world must come to an end, your OLIE mat will too need to be replaced.
Once your OLIE mat has seen better days we encourage you to recycle your mat.
Here at OLIE, we wanted to find the perfect balance between support and compression.
The reason for this is that we wanted enough support for your knees and wrists while you are moving around, but not too much that you lose stability or place too much pressure on your joints with it being too squishy.
We began carefully sampling different thicknesses and various mat compositions, all in the quest for the perfect mat. We think we got that balance just right! You'll have to let us know..
OLIE mats are 5mm thick and weigh 2.85kg (approx 6 pounds and 2oz for our US fam)
OLIE mats are manufactured in China.
We have been working closely to ensure that our process stays in line with our values of integrity, ethics and innovation.
We are proud to say that OLIE mats are ethically made, environmentally conscious and shipped from a carbon neutral warehouse.
As a small business we are committed to doing what we can, where possible, to help reduce our carbon footprint.
As we grow and expand, our hope is to continue to take this further.
Yes! We have received an official report from an auditor who has inspected the working conditions in our manufacturing centre.
This audit is called a Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) and is a non-profit scheme.
This monitors the supply chain to ensure that everything is made in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
They check things such as:
- Workers involvement and protection.
- Discrimination in the workplace.
- Fair remuneration (pay).
- Decent working hours.
- No child labour.
And much, much more.
All OLIE designs have been created by our founder, Jessica Olie.
As you navigate through our products, you will notice that each mat has it's own story behind it.
Most of Jess' inspiration comes from her tattoo's and the significance they hold for her.
All of our mats have deeper meanings and while they might look beautiful on the outside, we hope you resonate with the story they tell just as much as we do.

CARING FOR YOUR MAT
Your yoga mat will show signs of wear, love, and the journey you've been on the more you use It, but there are some ways to look after it to extend its lifespan.
Please read through this carefully before using your mat for the first time.
OIL
The surface and pores of your OLIE mat enable It to dry quickly. However, this also means It Is susceptible to stains, especially from any product containing oil. To reduce this possibility, please ensure your hands and feet are clean, and oil-free before use and avoid using any product on your skin that contains any oils, Including essential oils.
PRODUCTS
Do not use strong detergent products containing tea tree oil or oil Ingredients. Do not place it in the washing machine. Do not soak In water.
Do not use any harsh cleaning product on the mat or textured cloths. Use a soft microfiber cloth with a mild detergent, mix a few drops with water, gently wipe clean with a damp cloth, and then a dry cloth. Alternatively you can also use a baby wipe.
Allow to air dry before rolling your mat up. Leave the mat In a cool and dry place away from sunlight. Once It Is dry, roll it up with the LOGO facing outwards to ensure the mat holds its shape when you roll It out next time.
STORAGE
Your yoga mat should be stored rolled upright with the OLIE logo facing outwards.
Do not roll It up If It Is not completely dry. Avoid storing It In a heated cupboard or close to any heat source as this will compromise the Integrity of your yoga mat.
Avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun. Do not fold your yoga mat or place any heavy objects on it when It's rolled.
FOLDING
Your OLIE mat has been designed to be laid out flat rather than folded.
Please avoid folding your OLIE mat as this mat damage the shape, structure and integrity of your mat.
Rather, roll your mat tightly with the OLIE logo facing on the outside to help your mat keep it's original shape.
WATER STAINS
Do not soak or 'drench' your OLIE mat in water. Be sure to wipe large water spills off quickly.
Your yoga mat should be stored rolled upright with the OLIE logo facing outwards.
Do not roll It up If It Is not completely dry.
Avoid storing It In a heated cupboard or close to any heat source as this will compromise the Integrity of your yoga mat.
Avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun. Do not fold your yoga mat or place any heavy objects on it when It's rolled.
OLIE mats are designed to remain grippy even during the sweatiest flows and workouts.
Whilst many OLIE users love using their mat during their hot yoga sessions, using the mat regularly in hot and humid environments will reduce its lifespan.
It's worth noting that OLIE mats are not specifically designed to be used for hot yoga.
This is due to the design of the yoga mat, which gives it it's incredible grip and recyclable, eco-friendly properties.
Your OLIE mat has been designed to be laid out flat rather than folded.

Because your beautiful new mat has not had any nasty chemicals applied, the mat might have a slight smell when you first unroll it.
This is the smell of the natural rubber itself and the smell is harmless to both you and the environment.
This smell will dissipate in the process of use.
However, if you are sensitive to the smell, please unroll your mat and leave it to ventilate for a period of time.

USA
All orders placed Monday-Saturday before 11:59am will be dispatched the same day.
Orders placed after midday on a Saturday will be sent out Monday.
Rest Of The World
We will aim to process all orders placed Monday-Friday and before 2pm UK time on the same day.
Any orders placed after 2pm will be sent out the next working day.
Orders placed after 2pm on Friday and during the weekend will be sent out the following Monday.

This, of course, depends on the type of shipping you select.
We offer a wide selection of different shipping methods, from next day delivery, to slightly longer and more affordable rates.
All orders will receive a tracking link, so you keep keep a close eye on when your new movement bestie will arrive.

Brief and clear answer
It's worth noting that the customer is responsible for paying duties and taxes.
It's country specific whether or not you are likely to pay any imports/duties or taxes.
The following countries will NOT be required to pay any import fees:
- EUROPE, when you purchase 1 mat. When the product total price is under €150 - does not include shipping costs.
- USA
- UK
There are also many other countries that wont be required to pay these taxes.
Of course, we can't specify every single one. Please get in contact should you require help.
EU COUNTRIES
We are delighted to announce that we will be paying all duties and taxes for any European order under €150.*
Therefore, if you order 1 OLIE Mat, you will pay no hidden charges or duties and your order will not get stuck in customs!
Orders over €150 will be subject to duties and taxes. This doesn't include shipping costs.
As much as we would love to pay these additional duties, we are unable to due to the IOSS scheme.
*Please note, this excludes non-EU countries which are exempt from EU import/tax regulations.*
While we do everything we can to ensure this doesn't happen, we can't control every eventuality.
It's very rare for OLIE orders to get stuck in customs, but should you face any issues then contact us and we'll get this sorted as quickly as possible.
Shipping prices are currently at an all time high. This is due to multiple factors, such as worldwide instability, supply and demand and fuel surcharges.
We have done everything we can to ensure the shipping prices are as low as possible, but due to the mats being premium, thicker and slightly heavier, shipping is slightly costly.
Whilst European shipping is slightly more expensive, you will not be required to pay any import/duties, saving you a lot of money.

RETURNING WITH LOVE.
Should you wish to return your cherished OLIE product for a refund or exchange, you're welcome to do so within 14 days of receiving your order.
For your beautiful OLIE product to be accepted for a refund, please ensure the item remains untouched and in its original, lovingly preserved packaging.
It must remain in a sellable condition.
FAULTY PRODUCTS.
While we pride ourselves on our quality and consistency, sometimes we have outliers that sneak through our processes.
Therefore, if your new movement best friend arrives with any faults or defects, or anything you aren't sure about, please contact us as soon as possible and include as many images/videos highlighting the issues as you can.
This will enable us to provide you with a response that will best serve you.
EXCHANGES.
We do not accept exchanges, only returns.
While we pride ourselves on our quality and consistency, sometimes we have outliers that sneak through our processes.
Therefore, if your new movement best friend arrives with any faults or defects, or anything you aren't sure about, please contact us as soon as possible and include as many images/videos highlighting the issues as you can.
This will enable us to provide you with a response that will best serve you.
Rest assured, should your mat arrive with a genuine defect or any other quality issue, then a replacement mat will be sent out to you without delay.

All OLIE mats are made from natural, untreated rubber.
Due to this, natural wear and tear will occur the more you use it on your movement journey.
We know that your OLIE mat will support you for a long time but just like most wonderful things in the world, your mat will not last forever and will need to be replaced at some point.
Please refer to our care guide on how you can increase the lifespan of your OLIE mat and keep it looking as fresh as possible.
With that being said, we want your mat to show the dedication, practice and effort you are putting into your evolution, think of each mark or stain as a sign of progress you have made.
